The Temples at Paestum are a magnificent trio of ancient Greek temples dating back to the 6th century BC. These well-preserved structures, dedicated to Hera and Athena, stand as a testament to classical architecture and the grandeur of Magna Graecia. Surrounded by lush landscapes, and buffalo farms, they offer a serene glimpse into Italy's rich ancient history.

The beaches on the Cilento Coast, stretching from Paestum to Palinuro, are a hidden paradise rich with myths of sirens and mermaids. These idyllic beaches, among the cleanest in the world, are surrounded by charming towns reminiscent of what Amalfi was like 50 years ago. Cilento gives you the opportunity to relax at a glamorous beach club in Paestum, enjoy an amazing spa experience in San Marco Castellabate, or hike to white sand beaches in a marine sanctuary.

Cilento is full of small villages, from nearby Trentinara where you will find wine bars and a zipline, to the romantic fishing village of Pisciotta.

Visit Santa Maria Castellabate for the beach, then take in the view from the mountaintop village named one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Visit the castle of Agropoli and eat pizza at a secret pizzeria tucked beneath a staircase. In Pioppi, visit the Mediterranean Diet museum, or see where Hemingway was inspired to write "The Old Man in the Sea" in Acciaroli. 

The protected waters of the Cilento National Park are among the cleanest in the world. Take a catamaran tour from Agropoli, just 20 minutes from our property, and spend either a half-day or a full day exploring the coastline with time to swim or snorkel in the Cove of the Sirens.

Or transfer an hour south for a boat tour of the Cape of Palinuro, which has turquoise waters and the largest blue grotto in Europe. We can also organize excursions to go fishing and foraging with a local guide in this wild, untouched part of the Cilento National Park. 

Chef Mario Stellato is happy to offer guests a private cooking class. You can choose to learn a few of Cilento's signature dishes, including handmade pasta, traditional stuffed vegetable dishes, or more advanced cooking like bread and pastry.

If you want to see the famous towns of Positano and Amalfi, you can visit by ferry from Salerno, or we can organize a full-day tour with a driver. If you would like to experience a more authentic side to the Amalfi Coast, we recommend a morning visiting the ceramics shops of Vietri-sul-Mare, and lunch in Cetara.
